Knowing first hand the value of a good editor, I asked my friend Edmond Addeo to be my guest blogger this week. I met Ed at a writer’s conference in San Francisco and was so impressed that I asked him to edit my latest novel, The Custer Conspiracy. Best thing I ever did. I’m proud to introduce Ed to all of you who might be in need of a professional editor. I’ve worked with many editors over the years. Ed is, by far, the best I’ve ever met.
Got to tell you … no matter what else happened in 2014, that I could fill my car with gas that cost $1.75 per gallon (OK, OK …I had some “cents-off coupons”, but still …) qualifies it as a great year, no matter what else happened.
But I jest … sort of.
We all have our own definition of “success”. Since this is a blog about writing, I want to focus on that. But first, allow me to put into perspective the really important things in life:
Do you remember the song that starts with “What do you get when you fall in love?” According to Dionne Warwick “…you only get a life of pain and sorrow.” I’m betting if you changed her words to WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU SELF PUBLISH?, you’d get the same answer.
